Learn by Doing
The strongest mentoring begins with something real: an idea, a song, a recording, a scene or a creative problem you want to solve. Rather than working through a fixed curriculum, we use your actual project as the material—listening closely, identifying what is and isn’t working, and making practical decisions that move it forward.
My role is not to make your work sound like mine. It is to help you understand your instincts, strengthen your judgment and develop a process you can continue using on your own.

Production
Arrangement, recording, editing, sound selection, virtual instruments and the practical decisions involved in bringing a track to completion.
Music for Picture
Reading a scene, defining dramatic intent, spotting, pacing, thematic choices and writing music that serves the story.
Songwriting
Structure, melody, harmony, lyrics, arrangement and finding the clearest, most distinctive version of the idea.
AI & Creative Tools
Using current AI tools thoughtfully for ideation, rapid prototyping, production exploration and creative problem-solving—without surrendering human judgment.
Professional Perspective
For more than 25 years, I’ve composed and produced music for television, film and documentary projects, contributing to more than 1,500 catalog cues, and scored series for Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Sony and more.
That experience shapes the way I mentor. Technique matters, but so do communication, deadlines, revisions, collaboration and understanding why a creative choice works—not merely how to make it.

One-on-One Mentoring
Sessions are tailored to the work in front of us—whether you’re developing a song, strengthening a production, scoring a scene or exploring a new creative workflow. Bring a project, a question or a problem you want to solve, and we’ll work from there.
$125 per hour
Multi-session mentoring can be arranged for longer projects.
